Pterostilbene is a dimethylated derivative of resveratrol extracted from blueberries. It is more bioavailable than regular resveratrol and is also considered to be a more potent antioxidant.

Pterostilbene and resveratrol are very similar but have one important difference: resveratrol has three hydroxyl groups, while pterostilbene only has one.
